Stay Aboard a Private 40-Foot Yacht | Vancouver Waterfront Escape

Your own private floating getaway in the heart of Vancouver!

Experience Vancouver from an entirely different perspective with an unforgettable overnight stay aboard a beautiful 40-foot yacht, anchored in the calm waters of False Creek near Science World.

Wake up surrounded by water, enjoy your morning coffee overlooking the Vancouver skyline, soak up the sunshine on deck, and spend your evenings watching the city lights reflect across the harbour.

Whether you’re planning a romantic getaway, celebrating a special occasion, enjoying a staycation, or simply looking for somewhere truly unique to stay, this is an experience unlike a traditional hotel or Airbnb.

The entire yacht is exclusively yours for the duration of your stay. No other guests will be staying aboard, giving you the freedom to relax, unwind, cook, lounge, and enjoy your own private waterfront retreat.

Please note that this is an anchored accommodation experience, not a cruising yacht charter. The yacht will remain anchored near Science World throughout your visit.

The Space

Step aboard your private 40-foot yacht, thoughtfully furnished to create a comfortable, welcoming, and memorable floating home.

The interior features a bright, spacious salon with panoramic windows, comfortable blue seating, decorative pillows, cozy furnishings, and beautiful views of the surrounding water.

You’ll enjoy:

  • Exclusive use of the entire 40-foot yacht
  • Comfortable indoor lounging and dining areas
  • Panoramic windows with waterfront views
  • A fully equipped kitchen
  • Two bathrooms
  • Shower facilities
  • Comfortable sleeping accommodations
  • Fresh towels
  • Shower amenities
  • Outdoor deck space
  • Barbecue
  • Floaties and water accessories
  • Cooking utensils, plates, cups, and cutlery
  • Basic cooking spices
  • Cozy furnishings and nautical decor

Unlike a typical hotel room, you’ll have multiple areas to relax, dine, and enjoy the waterfront atmosphere.

Sleeping Accommodations

The yacht features comfortable sleeping spaces designed for a relaxing overnight experience.

Enjoy the cozy atmosphere of sleeping aboard a boat, with the gentle movement of the water creating a truly unique experience.

Please remember that yacht cabins and sleeping areas are generally more compact than conventional bedrooms, and some spaces may require stepping down, ducking slightly, or navigating narrow passageways.

Please confirm the number of guests and preferred sleeping arrangements before booking so we can ensure the yacht is suitable for your group.

Fully Equipped Kitchen

Love cooking? You’re welcome to prepare your own meals aboard!

The yacht includes a full kitchen with everything you need to enjoy home-cooked meals during your stay.

Kitchen amenities include:

  • Stove and oven
  • Refrigerator
  • Kitchen sink
  • Cooking pots and pans
  • Plates, bowls, and serving dishes
  • Drinking glasses and cups
  • Cutlery and cooking utensils
  • Basic spices and seasonings
  • Kettle
  • Food preparation and counter space
  • Barbecue for outdoor cooking

Whether you’re preparing breakfast with a waterfront view, cooking a romantic dinner, or enjoying snacks on deck, you’ll have the essentials available.

Guests are welcome to bring their own groceries, beverages, and favourite ingredients.

Bathrooms and Shower

One of the wonderful conveniences of this yacht is that it has two bathrooms and shower facilities.

We provide towels and basic shower amenities to make your stay more comfortable.

As with most yachts, the bathrooms are more compact than traditional residential bathrooms and use marine plumbing systems.

Guests will receive a short orientation on how to use the toilets, shower, and other onboard facilities.

Important: Marine toilets are different from household toilets. Please do not flush toilet paper, wipes, feminine hygiene products, or any other objects down the toilets. These can cause serious plumbing problems.

Outdoor Deck and Waterfront Relaxation

One of the best parts of staying aboard a yacht is having your own outdoor space directly on the water.

Step outside to enjoy fresh ocean air, relax in the sunshine, admire the surrounding city, or enjoy an evening barbecue.

The yacht offers opportunities to enjoy:

  • Beautiful views of False Creek
  • Vancouver’s waterfront skyline
  • Morning coffee on deck
  • Sunset views and evening city lights
  • Outdoor dining and barbecuing
  • Relaxing and lounging
  • Taking memorable photos
  • A peaceful floating atmosphere

We also have a selection of floaties and water accessories available for guests.

Swimming and water activities are dependent on local conditions, applicable restrictions, and the Captain’s safety guidance. The availability of floaties does not mean swimming is permitted at the anchorage.

Location — False Creek Near Science World

Your yacht will be anchored in False Creek, near Vancouver’s iconic Science World.

This is a fantastic central location for experiencing the city from the water, with views of the surrounding neighbourhoods, waterfront buildings, and city skyline.

Nearby areas and attractions include:

  • Science World
  • Olympic Village
  • False Creek waterfront
  • Seawall walking and cycling paths
  • Restaurants, cafés, and breweries
  • Granville Island
  • Downtown Vancouver
  • Waterfront parks and scenic walking routes

Please remember that although the yacht is anchored close to the city, you cannot simply walk on and off the yacht whenever you wish.

Access to and from the anchored yacht requires a boat transfer, which must be arranged with your Captain.

Guest Pickup and Arrival Instructions

Pickup Location: Village Dock, Olympic Village, Vancouver

Your adventure begins at the Village Dock ferry dock in Olympic Village.

For GPS or rideshare directions, use:

1 Athletes Way, Vancouver, BC

This address will bring you close to the pickup area, but it is not the actual boarding location.

Once you arrive at 1 Athletes Way, make your way down toward the waterfront and locate the Village Dock ferry dock.

Your Captain will coordinate your pickup and transfer you to the yacht.

Please arrive at your agreed pickup time and keep your phone available so we can communicate if necessary.

Guests should not attempt to access the yacht independently.

Check-In and Check-Out

Standard check-in: 4:00 PM

Standard check-out: 10:00 AM

We understand that everyone’s travel plans are different, and we’re happy to offer flexibility whenever possible.

Earlier check-in or later check-out may be available depending on the yacht’s schedule, cleaning requirements, and other bookings.

Please discuss your preferred arrival or departure time directly with Captain Orianna.

We will always do our best to accommodate your schedule, but alternative times must be arranged and confirmed in advance.

Your Captain will coordinate your arrival, boat transfer, and departure.

Your Privacy

The entire yacht is yours!

You will not be sharing the accommodation with other guests, and no one else will be staying aboard during your visit.

You’ll have exclusive access to the yacht’s designated guest areas, including the salon, kitchen, bathrooms, sleeping accommodations, and accessible outdoor deck spaces.

Your Captain will assist with arrival, departure, orientation, and any necessary operational or safety matters.

Certain mechanical, storage, and operational compartments may remain restricted for safety reasons.

Important — This Is an Anchored Yacht Stay

Please read this section carefully before booking.

Your reservation is for overnight accommodation aboard a yacht, not for a sightseeing cruise or private charter.

The yacht will remain anchored near Science World for the duration of your stay.

There is no cruising, sightseeing trip, or travel to other destinations included with this accommodation.

This arrangement allows you to enjoy the unique experience of living aboard a private yacht while remaining close to the heart of Vancouver.

Because the yacht is anchored rather than docked, guests must coordinate transfers with the Captain.

If you plan to go ashore for dinner, sightseeing, shopping, or other activities, please discuss your plans with Captain Orianna in advance so appropriate arrangements can be made.

Transfers outside the scheduled arrival and departure should not be assumed to be available unless confirmed.

What to Expect When Staying on a Yacht

Staying aboard a yacht is a unique experience, and there are a few differences compared with a traditional hotel or apartment.

Gentle movement: The yacht naturally moves with the water. Although False Creek is generally sheltered, movement may occur due to wind, passing vessels, or changing conditions.

Marine facilities: Toilets, showers, electrical systems, and water systems operate differently from those in a house. Your Captain will explain everything you need to know.

Water conservation: Freshwater storage aboard a yacht is limited, so we ask guests to be mindful of water consumption, especially when showering.

Steps and narrow spaces: Boats have stairs, raised thresholds, compact bathrooms, and narrower passageways. Guests should be comfortable moving around a marine environment.

Weather: Your experience may vary depending on the weather. Outdoor activities and deck use are subject to safe conditions.

Boat access: Since the yacht is anchored, transportation between the shore and yacht requires coordination.

Safety: Guests must follow the Captain’s safety instructions at all times.

House Rules

We want everyone to have a comfortable and enjoyable stay while helping us maintain the yacht in excellent condition.

Please observe the following:

  • No shoes inside the yacht.
  • No smoking aboard.
  • Do not flush toilet paper or other products down the marine toilets.
  • No red wine aboard.
  • Respect the yacht’s furnishings and equipment.
  • Use the barbecue and kitchen equipment responsibly.
  • Conserve freshwater where possible.
  • Do not operate navigation, engine, anchoring, or other restricted marine equipment.
  • Children must be supervised at all times, particularly on deck.
  • Do not enter the water without prior approval and appropriate safety precautions.
  • Do not invite additional visitors aboard without advance approval.
  • Follow all safety instructions provided by your Captain.

Please treat the yacht with the same care and respect you would your own home.

Your Host — Captain Orianna

Your host, Captain Orianna, is an experienced professional yacht captain who loves sharing the magic of life on the water.

She’ll help coordinate your arrival, introduce you to the yacht, explain the onboard facilities, and ensure you have the information needed for a comfortable stay.

Whether you’re celebrating something special, planning a romantic evening, or simply looking for a memorable Vancouver experience, Captain Orianna is happy to help you prepare for your visit.

If you have any questions about the yacht, facilities, sleeping arrangements, arrival times, or anything else, please don’t hesitate to ask before booking.

We could not recommend The Orianna enough as an overnight get away! From the moment the evening started – Captain Orianna has been just fantastic and meticulous in her onboarding! We had fresh bedding, locally ground coffee, and a view that cannot be beaten! Even if you have lived in Vancouver your entire life – do this, book an overnight on the yacht just to reset your energy and experience your city again for the first time! We will for sure book again.
