Our FAQ applies to chartering on both The Orianna & Mystic Voyager.
What happens in case of bad weather during the charter?
Your safety is our priority. If adverse weather conditions arise, we will work with you to reschedule the charter to a suitable date or provide a credit for a future charter.
How can I cancel or reschedule my booking?
To cancel or reschedule your booking, please contact our customer service team. Cancellation and rescheduling policies vary based on the charter type and location. Refer to our terms and conditions for more details.
Is gratuity for the crew included in the charter fee?
Gratuity is not included in the charter fee. It is at your discretion to tip the crew based on the level of service provided.
Does Mystic Voyager and The Orianna have a sound system?
Absolutely, we have speakers audible from every part of the yacht.
I have a captains license or one of my friends do, can we drive the yacht alone?
Apologies but due to safety regulations we require one of our registered captains to navigate. However, because one of your friends has a captains license they are not counted as one of your “12” guests.
What is a yacht charter?
A yacht charter involves renting a private yacht for a specified period to sail to various destinations. It provides the opportunity to explore the open waters in comfort and luxury. At Vancouver Yacht Life, we sail to some of the most popular destination on the west coast.
How do I book a yacht charter?
You can book a yacht charter by visiting our website and browsing through the available yacht options. Select your preferred yacht, desired dates, and destination. Follow the booking process and complete the necessary payment and documentation.
What types of yachts are available for charter?
We offer a variety of yachts, including trawlers and luxury yachts. Each type has unique features and amenities to suit different preferences and requirements.
Are crewed yachts available?
Yes, we offer crewed yachts where a professional crew, including a captain and other staff, will ensure a smooth and enjoyable sailing experience. The crew takes care of navigation and all services during your trip.
What is Maximum capacity for The Orianna?
Max capacity is 12 but if you have any additional guests with a BC pleasurecraft license we can accommodate more. Please contact customer service directly.
Do I need a captain’s license to charter a yacht?
No, we provide a licensed captain to handle the navigation.
Can I charter a yacht for a special event or celebration?
Absolutely! Our yachts are available for special events such as birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, corporate outings, and more. We can customize the trip to suit your event and preferences.
What is included in the charter fee?
The charter fee typically includes the yacht rental, crew salaries, standard equipment, fuel, and insurance. However, additional costs may apply for provisions, special requests, and activities at various destinations.
Can I bring my own food and beverages on the yacht?
Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages. Alternatively, we can arrange catering services based on your preferences and dietary requirements for an additional fee.
Do you have pool floaties available?
Absolutely! We have a variety of fun inflatables and pool noodles.
Can we decorate?
Absolutely, we suggest to bring whatever you can set up in about 5-10 minutes.
Can we arrive early to decorate and set up?
We can typically accommodate on boarding 15 minutes early.
Do you have a BBQ?
Absolutely, Mystic Voyager and The Orianna guests are free to use the BBQ on the boat!
What is Maximum capacity for Mystic Voyager?
Max capacity is 12, but for comfort, we suggest a maximum of 9 or 10 for Mystic Voyager.
